William Del PilarWilliam Del Pilar Leave a Comment

The Andrew Hayes Interview I’ve reached out to all three Republican candidates in my district to interview so constituents can learn more about those who would lord over us. Carl DeMaio said yes, then no. Technically, he said after the primaries, but that’s a no for all intents and purposes. Jack J. Fernandes said yes but hasn’t responded to my …

50th Congressional District – Fundamentalist Hypocrisy

William Del PilarWilliam Del Pilar 1 Comment

A Conservative Latino’s take on politics… The race to see who represents the conservative voice for the 50th Congressional District is over. Grassroots activist, Carl DeMaio conceded to former representative Darrell Issa. I don’t know who started it, but as we know, this campaign got ugly. Most don’t remember a race between two Republicans this bad in years. The last …

Carl DeMaio – Entrepreneurial Politics

A Conservative Latino’s View on Politics… I understand how an industry can begin to accept certain standards or ways of doing business that go against successful norms – politics is one of them. How the Grinch… err SB1 (Gas Tax) Stole Christmas

A conservative Latino’s view on politics… The $800 average SB1 (gas tax) takes from California families is the equivalent of what we spend on Christmas and shows our politicians to be the Grinch who stole Christmas. A conservative Latino’s view on politics. The battle in the governor’s race, between John Cox and Travis Allen to represent the Republican Party and be one of the top-two in the “jungle primary,” is dividing us. Allen voters embellish Cox’s flaws, while purposely ignoring Allen’s and are creating an irreparable wedge if one of them advances. Allen’s rhetoric is also …

Surprised that DeMaio didn’t run? Just follow the moves.

When Carl DeMaio pulled papers for the 50th Congressional District on Monday of last week, while also paying the $1,740 non-refundable filing fee, many thought that was a final decision. He was indeed running against Duncan Hunter. When he then announced last Friday he wasn’t running, it surprised the same “many.” Why the heck would he cough up over 1,700 …

Citizens need closure on the recent allegations against Carl DeMaio.  Last week, Todd Bosnich accused the former San Diego City Council Member and U.S. House candidate of sexual harassment.  If true, DeMaio has no business holding public office. The timing of this claim is suspect.  The accuser’s decision to lodge the complaint in the media, rather than through law enforcement, …

Let’s start with this; there is no “tea party”.  There is a “tea party movement,” there are “tea party groups,” there are “tea party activists” and there are “people who agree with tea party principles.” In that tea party movement, there are libertarians, social conservatives, immigration activists, fiscal conservatives, Second Amendment defenders, and other conservative-leaning Americans. While I haven’t seen …
