New poll on HSR — voters would kill it if again on ballot
New poll: If another California HSR vote were held today, 59% would vote against it. With 8% undecided, it probably would end up going down by a 2-1 majority. http://www.cssrc.us/web/4/news.aspx?id=12294&utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter
Pre-Election Outlook for Team Taxpayer
I played high school football and tonight feels like Thursday night before an important Friday game, not the big game, but an important one we need to win. Team taxpayer is favored to win two important contests tomorrow, the Wisconsin governor’s recall and Proposition B in San Diego. The U-T is reporting that Proponents of Proposition B have spent $1.8 …

Rider does videos for San Diego’s Prop A – the “PLA” Prop
A couple weeks ago I did some taping for the folks backing the San Diego City Prop A, the excellent measure that will make our city contracts transparent, online and not subject to mandatory PLA restrictions. Just recently I found that a number of my sound bites appeared on their website. I thought these excerpts were good enough to share …

Fletcher’s Family of Friends
Recently, Nathan Fletcher raised eyebrows for accepting a financial donation from the minor daughter of Lorena Gonzalez, the local labor union boss. Nathan Fletcher’s continued move to the left appears to mirror his growing support from the Gonzalez family as a whole. The most recent financial disclosures show Marco Gonzalez, Lorena’s brother, donating to Fletcher’s Mayoral campaign. Marco Gonzalez is a well known …
Another Side to this Story — San Diego Military Ballots were NOT delayed — Multiple sources state today
Multiple reliable local sources tell me that (1) the approximately 3,000 overseas military ballots from San Diego County were mailed out in time for the June primary election, and (2) that when about 30 of those came back with expired addresses, the Registrar of Voters office found updated addresses and re-sent those by Fed-Ex (“They Deliver”). The litigation referred to an earlier post involved mainly …
