Early voting starts this week, and a cadre of eager voters have already done their civic duty for the year.
Rocky Chavez continues to steamroll into October with momentum in the 76th Assembly District, earning an impressive list of endorsements along the way — be they newspapers, or local elected officials. U-T San Diego, North County Times, and the Lincoln Club of San Diego County.
Carlsbad Mayor Matt Hall has endorsed him saying, “Rocky’s experience speaks for itself: a Marine Colonel, a leader in the state veterans department, and a local public servant. Rocky Chavez is the best choice for our community.”
Matt Hall has served on the Carlsbad City Council since 1994, before being elected Mayor in 2010. Mayor Hall is also a Vietnam War veteran.
Also, Carlsbad City Councilman Mark Packard endorsed Rocky Chavez this week saying, “Rocky has the right combination of leadership and experience we need in our next assemblyman. He’s dedicated to his community as a local official — and he’s dedicated to his country as a 30-year Marine veteran.”
The re-drawn 76th Assembly District covers the cities of Oceanside, Carlsbad, Vista, Encinitas, and Camp Pendleton.
