State Senator pledges to provide “Trusted, Conservative Leadership”

Press Release

State Senator Brian Jones announced that he will seek election to the US House of Representatives in California’s 50th District, the seat currently represented by Duncan D. Hunter.

“I am entering the race for Congress to provide a trusted, conservative voice for the people of this district.

“I am the only candidate with roots in the district, a proven conservative track record and the ability to get things done.
“I grew up here and have represented the people of this district as a Santee City Councilmember, State Assemblyman and now as a State Senator.
“In Santee, we proved that conservative government policies work. We created vibrant residential, commercial and retail development by reducing regulations and keeping taxes low, and funded the recreational and public safety services the public deserves by contracting out services.
“In Sacramento, I established a conservative voting record and have received  a 100% voting score from respected taxpayer and faith based advocacy groups.
“And while I’ve never run from a fight, nor compromised on core principles, I’ve demonstrated the ability to do the harder work of finding agreement in order to get things done. I sponsored 23 bills that were passed by the Democratic legislature and signed into law.

“I would consider it a great honor to be a reliable vote for the President’s agenda— standing up for Americans interests abroad, restoring respect for law enforcement at home, and appointing judges who will respect the traditional values upon which our country was built.”

  1. My family and I fully support Brian. It’s truly wrong that Jacob and Wells would support someone who does not even live within the Assembly District. Brian will bring every good quality to this seat and those who truly care about the 50th should side with him. The County Party should give Brian its endorsement.
