Your reporter has never seen THIS MANY San Diego political people
in one place at one time…and all there tonight for a shindig at Isabel’s
Cantina in Pacific Beach to honor our retiring “Madam Everything”,
Cathy Glaser.
The Attendees included: Ernie Dronenburg, John Hoy, Rich Grosch,
Nancy Chase, Jeff Marston, Chris Crotty, Tom and Candy Shepard,
Aimee Remanick, Evonne Schulze, Al Alvarado, Erica Holloway,
Jack & Lori Doyle, Ken ‘ Moose’ Moser, Dan McAllister, Jean Freelove,
Doug Perkins, Bob Glaser, Marty Block, Ray Ortiz, Mark Schaefer,
Karolyn Dorsee, John Neinstedt, Mikel Haas, and Cathy’s co-workers
included Registrar of Voters Deborah Seiler, Bob Pannisi, Elvira
Vargas, Rosemary Norling and Gladys Fontes….. [Apologies to
anyone not named}
Son Danny Glaser and daughter Emily Glaser played co-starring roles.
This was your reporter’s one chance to play Eileen Jackson or Burl
Stiff and I can say being a ‘society reporter’ is a lot tougher than it looks!
The food, however, was delicious (and ample), the company convivial,
and the love in that room for Cathy Glaser truly Bi-Partisan.
A snap poll done on the spot by John Neinstedt of ‘Competitive Edge’
disclosed Ms. Glaser has a 100% Approval Rating among San Diego’s
political community. Well done, Cathy !
