Trump should thank Cruz

For all the lemmings who are claiming Ted Cruz broke a pledge or somehow advocated voting for someone other than Donald Trump, he did neither.

He did not pledge to endorse, he pledged to support the nominee. Even though the nominee attacked his wife and basically accused his father of treason, Cruz did his duty as a Republican and conservative — he supported the nominee.

He spoke of constitutional principles, freedom, what was at stake, and told people to go out and work for our shared values and vote their conscience.

So if you claim he violated his pledge and that his speech was not supportive it must mean you think Trump doesn’t share our values and principles, and that any conservative with a conscience would not vote for Trump.

If this election is about America’s future and not about a billionaire’s narcissistic need to hear one more person say his name, Trump should thank Cruz, embrace the principles and make the case that one’s conscience should lead them to him.

  1. Only a lawyer would try to defend another lawyer who dug a hole for himself and is making it deeper. There are a lot of us common sense lemmings out here who know that Ted Cruz drove his future over the cliff last night and this morning with his stunt.

  2. Trump surprised a a lot of people at the Convention by showing his strength of character and forgiveness. He forgave the speech writer while Hillary would have destroyed his career. He allowed Cruz to speak knowing all the time that Cruz wouldn’t endorse him. Hillary would have kicked him out of the convention.

Trump showed that he has the right stuff to be President. Landslide Trump.

Cruz lost and is licking his wounds. I’m a Cruz man but Cruz looked petty. All these politicians have huge egos. He will come around.

  3. Can you show us the part of the speech where he talked about his support of Trump’s campaign?
