New campaign finance reports continue to tell their stories…. (1)  Fresh from their twin successes aiding Republicans Bill Horn and Ron Roberts to victory last November, San Diego’s Deputy Sheriffs Association has reloaded with new donations by their members, bringing the PAC’s current cash-on-hand to a healthy $145,176.  (2)  Bill Baber filed papers this week closing out the winning “Fair and Open Competition, Yes on A” campaign.   With a 75% Yes vote,  SD voters backed a ban on Project Labor Agreeements (PLAs) in County of San Diego pr0jects.   Local chapters of the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) and Associated General Contractors (AGC) led the way. With his usual efficiency, “Battling Bill”  Baber closed the books with all the Bills paid !  And with that horrifying Pun, we close this chapter of The Political File.
