Leftie Bill Winters made the (now) hilarious comment (defending Filner) that Bob was the most boring CA candidate since Gray Davis. Not sure he’d agree to that description today.
Wish I could have brought up Filner’s sexual proclivities then, but there was no first hand evidence at the time — though it was a longtime open “secret” in DC.
I’m gonna miss Comrade Bob. But I’ll get over it.

Not sure how saying [Filner] was “the most boring CA candidate since Gray Davis” is somehow “defending Filner”?
The point was why even discuss a candidate’s irrelevant past family issues when you have a flawed candidate with plenty of issues that are fair game?
