From Vaus…

Today, I’m pleased to announce that I am a candidate for San Diego County County Supervisor, District 2 in the 2020 election.

It’s been an honor to serve as Mayor of Poway and I’m proud of my record. My priorities as East County’s Supervisor will be the same as they have been as Mayor: keeping us safe from crime and fire, maintaining infrastructure, protecting and expanding open space, allowing development where appropriate, and being accessible. In fact, what we’ve achieved in Poway – being the safest city, ranked #1 to raise a family, always delivering balanced budgets, maintaining appropriate reserves, and having top-notch roads – is a great blueprint for the District.

Supervisor Dianne Jacob will be stepping down after nearly three decades on the Board. I am honored to have her support for my candidacy.

I look forward to talking with you about my campaign and hearing directly from you about how your concerns and interests can best be represented.

Please take a few minutes to watch my video announcement to learn more about why I’m running.

I look forward to seeing you soon and, most important, I look forward to earning your support for my campaign for County Supervisor in District 2.

Best regards,
Mayor Steve Vaus
