The sad, short, egotistical and ultimately insignificant reign of Ben Kalasho ended tonight with the appointment of local businessman and Planning Commissioner Phil Ortiz to the El Cajon City Council on a 4-0 vote.
Although Kalasho resigned a few weeks ago, the appointment of Ortiz to the vacant seat means the Kalasho era is now officially over, ending not unlike Game of Thrones, with a whimper.
This post should probably be more about Ortiz than Kalasho, but the newly appointed official likely has many great years of news space ahead of him.
Kalasho, on the other hand, is done.
Good for El Cajon.
