  1. I think our government would function better if most Republicans scored in the 60-80% range on Conservative scorecards and most Democrats scored in the 60-80% range on Liberal scorecards.

    Good grief, why elect anything but a rock-ribbed conservative in a District which hands a 40-point advantage to a Republican.

    That’s nuts. Our government functioned best when Reagan and Clinton were Presidents and strong opposition was in the Legislative Branch. Both O’Neill and Gingrich were a big part of the Reagan and Clinton Presidencies.

    Clinton was far from a 100% Liberal and despite the revisionist history, Reagan was far from a 100% Conservative.
