From the Sherry Hodges campaign for SD Rostra:

“State Senator Joel Anderson today announced his endorsement of Sherry Hodges for the State Assembly district representing the northern San Diego coastal region. ‘Sherry Hodges is the one I trust on the tough issues facing the legislature like cutting state spending and holding the line on taxes. I know we can count on her to stand with taxpayers,” said Senator Anderson. “I’ve known and worked with Sherry for years, and I know her to be a hard worker who stands up for what she believes. Sherry will be able to make a difference in Sacramento from day one because of her experience with state government,” said Anderson.

“I greatly appreciate Senator Anderson’s support and his vote of confidence,” said Sherry Hodges. “Joel is one of the most respected conservative voices in Sacramento. His endorsement means a lot to voters who care about issues like pension reform, responsible spending, and reducing red-tape and job-killing regulations.” Hodges is a former San Dieguito Union High School District Board member, where she served on the Encinitas Crime Prevention Commission and site planning for La Costa Canyon High School. She has worked on the legislative staff for several state officials and currently serves as Chief of Staff for State Assemblymember Diane Harkey.”

The 76th district runs North/South from Camp Pendleton through  Oceanside, Vista, Carlsbad,  and  Encinitas .    No incumbent is eligible to run in this contest.
