The nailbiter continues in the contest to succeed Dianne Jacob.

Receiving over 54 percent of today’s added count in the District 2 County Supervisor’s race, Joel Anderson increased his lead over Steve Vaus to 135 votes, still just a fraction of the nearly 290,000 ballots cast.

Only 584 votes were added in the race, out of about 5,000 ballots counted region-wide.

The Registrar of Voters reports about 19,000 ballots left to process in San Diego County.
