Anderson now up by 85 votes in County Supervisor race

Joel Anderson now leads Steve Vaus by 85 votes in the District 2 San Diego County Supervisor’s race, following today’s 5 p.m. Registrar of Voters’ update.

Yesterday, Anderson led for the first time, but only by a mere seven votes out of about 287,000 ballots counted.

Today’s ballots added 1,064 votes to the mix, with Anderson getting 53.66 percent of the new count.

The Registrar’s office estimates about 24,000 ballots left to tally throughout the county.
