Why I’m supporting Randy Voepel for Assembly

I am proud to endorse Santee Mayor Randy Voepel for the 71^st Assembly District.

As someone invested in this community, it matters a great deal to me that residents in East San Diego and Southern Riverside Counties have a conservative voice representing them in the Assembly.

Randy’s 15 years as Mayor has allowed him to build a record that reveals a simple truth: conservative policies work! As Mayor, he accomplished the following:

– Built one of the largest per-capita budget reserves out of any other city in the region.
– Contracted out city services, which improved service levels and reduced pension obligations.
– Dedicated the highest proportion of the city’s budget to public safety.
– Achieved one of the lowest crime rates in the region.
– No sales tax increases.
– Reduced city spending by 16% during the lean years to keep the budget balanced.
– Implemented pro-business policies that attracted restaurants, as well as vibrant new retail, residential, and office development.
– Established a teen center, ball fields, concerts and recreational activities for children, families & seniors.

As Mayor of Santee, Randy’s leadership has been critical to the city’s rapid development. As a result of pro-business policies, fiscal prudence, and common sense ideas, Santee now boasts a high median income, low crime rate, and low unemployment rate.

I have worked with Randy since 1999. There are few elected officials who cherish their responsibility in office, or care for their constituents, more than Randy does. He has dedicated himself to ensuring his constituents receive the best representation possible.

As a young man, he put country first and served two combat tours of duty in the Vietnam War. Following his service, he became a businessman in the insurance industry, where he’s grown to understand first-hand the crippling rules and regulations imposed by Sacramento.

In addition, Randy has been a stalwart defender of the constitution, an advocate for limited government, and a strong supporter of the 2^nd Amendment. He’s just the ideal representative for this district.

California needs Randy Voepel – a conservative who can get results. That’s why I’m hoping you’ll join me in endorsing him and becoming one of his initial contributors.

Together, we can all work toward restoring California’s promise.
