The L.A. County Registrar/Recorder’s office tabulated late-arriving mail ballots and provisionals this afternoon, and Craig Huey’s 206-vote lead on election night increased to 750.   See those full results  here: http://rrcc.co.la.ca.us/elect/11051110/rr1110pa.html-ssi  …Within an hour,  California Secretary of State Debra Bowen conceded defeat for the 36th Congressional district  special election runoff spot   (hat tip to Torey Van Oot of  ‘Capitol Alert’).

With that issue resolved, former Cal-YAF leader Craig Huey moves on to the July 12th runoff with LA City Councilwoman Janice Hahn, a Democrat.   With Bowen voters angry at the outcome, and a low turnout, anything can happen … including a Huey victory.  Such a triumph would send echoes around the country,  even as Scott Brown’s Massachusetts  miracle  did 18 months ago.   Stay tuned !
