ENCINTAS – Today, San Diego County Supervisor Kristin Gaspar endorsed Maureen “Mo” Muir for the 76th Assembly District.
“I have had the pleasure of working with Mo Muir on a number of issues important to our region’s quality of life, and I’ve seen first hand just how strong of an advocate she can be for our community,” said Gaspar. “There’s nobody more qualified and capable than Mo when it comes to finding solutions to the difficult problems our state faces. Mo will be an excellent representative for North County, and I am proud to endorse her.”
“Supervisor Gaspar is a dedicated public servant who understands what our region needs to thrive, and I am honored to have her support,” said Muir. “In the Assembly, I look forward to working with Kristin on keeping our community safe, protecting the environment, improving infrastructure, and providing the resources North County needs to protect our quality of life.”
Supervisor Gaspar was elected to the San Diego County Board of Supervisors in November of 2016 and represents the 3rd District. Prior to her election to the Board, she served as the first elected Mayor of Encinitas following her tenure as an Encinitas Councilmember.
Mo Muir currently serves on the San Dieguito Union High School District Board and previously served on the Encinitas Unified School District Board. She resides in Encinitas with her husband Mark, currently an Encinitas Councilmember and Chairman of the San Diego County Water Authority.
