The San Diego Reader’s Don Bauder tells us about the city leadership’s latest failure against Scott Kessler.
Bauder writes:
“Kessler believes his firing was related to the closeness of the mayor to Little Italy powerhouse Marco Li Mandri, who in turn is close to felon Joe Mannino. The FBI and a police investigator did a study indicating that Li Mandri and Mannino had committed fraud.”
I hope Kessler’s lawsuit goes to trial and the truth is discovered — whatever that may be. There’s a nasty smell about his firing. To restore public confidence in San Diego’s governance, we need to get rid of that smell.
