Pension Reform Group Announces New Superwalk Dates
Petition turn-in deadline: October 17
San Diego — Comprehensive Pension Reform (CPR) for San Diego announced today two new major “Superwalk” dates in an attempt to gather the final necessary signatures to place pension reform on the ballot.
The “Superwalks” are scheduled for this Saturday, October 1 and Saturday, October 8 from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. The walks will commence at Campaign headquarters. Lunch will be provided.
“We are gearing up for the final phase of the signature gathering effort,” said T.J. Zane, Chairman of CPR for San Diego. “We want to reach San Diegans who want to sign the petition and reform the way this city does business, but haven’t had an opportunity to sign a petition yet. It’s 4th and 10 and the clock is counting down. These are the final opportunities for San Diegans who support pension reform to sign.”
CPR for San Diego also announced that the City Clerk of San Diego has granted the campaign committee’s request for clarification on the deadline to turn in signatures. The campaign has until October 17 to turn in signatures. A copy of the City Clerk’s letter is attached.
