It was a packed house tonight as well-wishers celebrated Tony Krvaric’s 40th birthday at the Republican Party of SD headquarters in Rancho Bernardo.  Among those attending were City Attorney Jan Goldsmith,  Escondido councilwoman Marie Waldron,  Fairbanks Ranch GOP Women President Linda Dealy,  pollster John Neinstedt,  political whirlwind Mindy Fletcher, Imperial Beach Councilman Brian P. Bilbray, and from Senator Joel Anderson’s office, Jordan Marks. Rostrafarians on hand included South Bay Sunnycrest, Marie Waldron, and your correspondent.

Among the gag gifts presented to Tony by Executive Director Barrett Tetlow were (a) a cane equipped with  magnifying glass and pill holder (b) a hat reading “40, how did I get to be this Old?” and (c) a trophy showing a man bent over at the waist holding his back!   A beautiful (and delicious) cake was also served, after the singing of ‘Happy Birthday’, as Tony’s wife and daughter beamed.

……….15  Good Reasons  to  Celebrate:  a Winning 2010

The Party won all 15 of its top priority local races last November, including wins for Lorie Zapf, Ernie Dronenburg, Farrah Douglas,  Ron Roberts, Bill Horn, Yes -on-Prop. A.  No-on Prop. D, Sam Abed, Ed Gallo and Marie Waldron in Escondido, and Matt Hall in Carlsbad.

The only pall on the occasion was the absence of Dave Maass, but perhaps he will be there next year.

Happy Birthday,  Chairman Krvaric, and many more to come.  Here’s to a Winner !
