When over, the 2016 presidential election will go in the history books as this:
A bunch of Jerks in Congress, elected by the People, created an atmosphere in which the People believed the best solution was to nominate a total Jerk, which only served to ensure the People elected a total Jerk as President.

The Chargers’ measure, Prop C, is trailing badly, it appears. It will continue to appear that way right up until it becomes a reality, all due to the Chargers starting down a path a couple of years ago of pushing possibly the worst extended PR effort in the history of San Diego.

I do think the Chargers measure might have been in play, if not for the scorched-earth approach the team’s highly-paid professionals have taken the last couple of years. It turned San Diegans off in general, it made even many fans throw their hands up and say “that’s it, I’ve had enough.” It’s a testament to bad PR advice ruining chances.
The Chargers’ record is now exacerbating the difficulty in Prop C getting even close. Knowing the measure can’t achieve the needed 2/3, some have said Spanos’ real goal now is 50 percent, to set the tone for some other negotiations on another deal here. But, every loss at this point is worth about two percentage points against the measure, IMHO. Pollsters will say that’s too high, but voters will not be separating the W-L record from the perceived need for a stadium. It will be an emotional vote for many.
Please name the local jerks, Barry.
Come now, Ken, so you can turn a fun, flippant missive into a story? LOL.
Note how many times the People are noted, as the deciders. I’m a “People.” I’m a Jerk.

BOOM.
