You have no doubt heard the story about the San Diego Gay Men’s Chorus being snubbed on the field at Saturday’s San Diego Padres game. Instead of hearing the Gay Men’s Chorus, everyone heard a woman signing when the wrong national anthem soundtrack was played.

At first everyone suspected the worst – homophobia. Now we know the truth – it was an unintentional mistake!

Unfortunately, this simple unintentional mistake cost DJ ARTFORM (Art Romero) his job as the sound technician for the San Diego Padres games.

DJ ARTFORM has issued a genuine apology and has made it clear absolutely no discrimination motivated this mistake. Even the San Diego Gay Men’s Chorus has now confirmed no homophobia was involved in this mistake.

We agree – and urge the Padres to rehire and reinstate DJ ARTFORM!

If you agree, SIGN OUR PETITION that we are delivering to the Padres! And share with your friends!

  1. Carl – This is very unfortunate. In view of the absence of anything factual to support this mistake it discredits the Gay Men’s Chorus. If they are normal individuals we would expect them to respond in a normal manner. I ask myself what a normal response would be for a high school chorus or barbershop quartet who experienced the same error?

I think our character is revealed most clearly in times of crisis.

Unfortunately this doesn’t reflect well on gay activism and I commend you for having the character to stand up and address it.

  2. Eric,

This was an unfortunate mistake which may or may not show a level of incompetence worthy of being fired. However, more disappointing is your comment that this somehow discredits the Gay Men’s Chorus. In fact, the Gay Men’s Chorus released a statement asking that the Padres reinstate the person who made the mistake in the first place.

    The statement read, in part:

“We also would like to publicly accept the sincere apology of DJ ARTFORM and recognize his support for the LGBT community and equality for all people. We do not wish to see him lose his job with the San Diego Padres and kindly ask the Padres to reinstate him. Everyone deserves a second chance.”

  3. Hypocrisy: Laughable comments but predictable.

I didn’t see a video of the incident until last night. From the widespread media hysteria, I expected to see angry, outraged chorus men. Instead, what I saw in the 30 second shot of the men walking off the field was the men smiling, relaxed, shrugging their shoulders, and taking it all in stride. I commend the men for that.

Naive me. I should have known that the lapdog media and Big Gay organizations would play the victim card and use this to further the Big Gay agenda. Big Gay did not want the DJ re-hired. They wanted to use him as an example of what happens when you cross gays, even accidently.

But the widespread public backing of the DJ in the local and national media showed them that they had overplayed their hand. They were FORCED to ask for the DJ to be re-hired.

You wonder why there is tremendous push back on the transwhatever movement? Look no further than these constant attempts to force unusual sexual choices down the throats of Americans.

People are finally fed up and are saying NO MORE. It was bound to happen. Target is learning the hard way that the American people are sick and tired of this.

  4. Carl, is that you? No disrespected, by the tone of your voice on your radio show has no passion. It’s like you are so disinterested that you are thinking about something else. Perhaps the mayoral election from 2012 could not beat the political hack, Filner. What could have been.

  5. The Padres need to worry about winning games than these stupid gimmicks along with coming up with a new uniform every year to raise revenue.
