If your inner rebel is calling you this tax season, you might want to head up to the Oceanside Pier Ampitheater on Monday, April 16, 2012.  Taxpayer advocacy group Stop Taxing Us is hosting its Fourth Annual Tea Party Rally, from 4:55PM until 7:05 PM.

Stop Taxing Us is Southern California’s largest tea party group with over 15,000 registered members.  Last year, the group claimed to host the largest tax day demonstration in the country.  Past rallies have had as many as 5,000 people attending and many are expected because this is an election year.  Group members have weighed in on important issues, on local and national media, discussing the debt ceiling debate, Obamacare, public employee pension reform, and education spending.  Director Rhonda Deniston was influential in confronting the Occupy movement for its violent streak,  and was instrumental in convincing San Diego High Tech High to obey the law, and fly Old Glory at its schools.

Speakers for the Tax Day Tea Party Rally include:

Many candidates will be attending, including all three vying for the 76th Assembly District seat:  Rocky Chavez, Farrah Douglas, and Sherry Hodges. Also attending, Jim Miller for Superior Court Judge, Dan Hughes for US Senate, Rabbi Nachum Shifren for State Senate, Nick Popaditch for the US House of Representatives, and Jerry Kern for Oceanside Mayor.

I’ll be shocked if Gary Felien isn’t there; it really can’t be an Oceanside conservative event without Gary in the house.

Most importantly, county-wide tea party groups will be there.  While Stop Taxing Us hosts the big events, it is the community tea party groups which hold the monthly meetings, keep the activists motivated, and are the infrastructure:

  • Tri-City Tea Party–Carlsbad
  • Vista Tea Party
  • Fallbrook Tea Party
  • 858 Tea Party–Del Mar
  • San Diego Tea Party
  • Chula Vista Tea Party

We’re going to start the eviction process of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, on April 16th in Oceanside.  Our partner tea party groups are going to keep the momentum going, until we rally back again this Fall for the final push to restore the Republic.  Don’t miss it!
