The reason for the slightly worn “red carpet” adorning the Third Avenue entrance to San Diego City Hall yesterday? That’s not exactly clear, although it must be to the culprit that placed it there.
Mssrs. Jones, either Allen for Andrew? Tom Story? Joe Terzi? A La Jolla Seal?
We’ll probably never know.
City Hall insiders (or outsiders going in) say no one remembers this particular doormat being in place prior to yesterday, even without the added wording. Although Mayor Bob Filner has walked nicer carpets in the recent past.
