Nathan Fletcher today announced that the Neighborhood Market Association (NMA) has endorsed his campaign for mayor. NMA is the fourth business group to endorse Fletcher’s campaign for mayor.
“We are endorsing Nathan Fletcher because he will be a strong advocate for small businesses as mayor,” said Mark Arabo, President & CEO of the Neighborhood Market Association. “Nathan understands that excessive taxes, fees and regulations are strangling small businesses in San Diego. Nathan’s proven track record of building coalitions to get things done is all the evidence we need. He will bring that same approach to City Hall and create the kind of environment that small businesses like ours need to flourish.”
NMA represents more than 2,000 businesses and 21,000 employees on the West Coast. They serve independent retailers who are the cornerstone of the entrepreneurial spirit. This innovative spirit and drive comes from many family-operated independent businesses NMA proudly represents. NMA does everything it can to help family-owned independent retailers.
“I am proud to have the endorsement of the Neighborhood Market Association. They are a major part of San Diego’s hard-working small business community,” said Nathan Fletcher. “When I am mayor, one of my top priorities will be to create the kind of business environment that allows entrepreneurs to prosper. I am grateful for their support.”
Nathan has previously been endorsed by the California Small Business Association, Alianza Business Network and the New Majority San Diego.
