OK, a quick one this time, for tomorrow’s City of San Diego mayoral election.

A reminder of the “rules”:

  • Read the questions closely. No tricks, just read the questions.
  • Send your guesses to info@sdrostra.com ONLY. The Rostra admins are assisting on this, so don’t send to my email. As well, do NOT post your answers here.
  • Deadline to submit guesses: Tomorrow — Tuesday, February 11, 2014 — 7:30 p.m. No exceptions. That’s Pacific Time.
  • In the case of a close race, the contest winner may not be determined until certification of the election. Patience, if so.

The Questions:

1. When the first results are released shortly after 8 pm., one of the candidates will have more than 52 percent of the vote, TRUE or FALSE?

2. The candidate leading when the first results are released shortly after 8 p.m. will increase his lead between that point and the completion of vote counting (whenever that may be), TRUE or FALSE?

3. The candidate leading when the first results are released shortly after 8 p.m. will end up winning, TRUE or FALSE?

4. The losing candidate will concede the race (pick one), a) Tuesday before midnight, b) Wednesday, c) Thursday, OR d) after Thursday.

5. Name the winner, David Alvarez or Kevin Faulconer.

Tie-Breaker (only if needed). Pick the final margin (percentage) between the winner and the loser. You may want to guess to a tenth of a point, at least.

That’s it. Five questions; a dead heat in the number of correct answers results in a tie breaking question.

The winner gets a meal on me, at an Albondigas luncheon, as well as bragging rights.

  1. I think and hope shadow candidate and freedomfighter Barry Jantz can pull off a major upset!! He is the only freedom Candidate and the only one that would NOT keep the Filner Legacy afloat……..

  2. Darn it, I wish I had the time to answer this because I would have at least been a runner up. Working takes time from my hobby. I wish good luck to the peeps who answered. 🙂

  3. Boy, was I wrong. just add a zero after each of my answers. Never been more glad to be so wrong!
