Cate said: “I am grateful to have earned the support of the Lincoln Club. I am humbled to be recognized for my work on behalf of taxpayers and honored to have the backing of an organization that has been so committed to reforming San Diego city government.”

As one of San Diego’s leading reform organizations, the Lincoln Club of San Diego County’s mission is to advance free market principles and ideas by recruiting, endorsing and supporting pro-prosperity candidates and ballot measures that reflect its commitment to responsible public policy, the expansion of economic opportunity and enhanced quality of life throughout San Diego County. The Lincoln Club spearheaded many of San Diego’s most critical reforms, including the defeat of the sales tax initiative in 2010, and the passage of Proposition B, Comprehensive Pension Reform, in 2012.
