You’re right…scandalous!…I look forward to more in depth and crack observations on all the pre-endorsement “closed meetings” and elitist cabals of “old white men” that greased the skids, bypassed the bylaws, and crafted the endorsement atmospherics to ensure the New Generation Cultural Stalinist’s Hood Ornament and exposed plagiarist has received. Perhaps one can expose the insider Tammany Hall cronyism that has been the hallmark for why 80K former Republicans have left the party over the last 7 years, complete with intimidation of members, financial inconsistencies, and stark political nepotism that makes young FBI agents salivate.…No..wait! Let’s explore the initial media blackout on Jorgensen’s campaign by Roger Hedgecock (full-throated enabler for DeMaio…walking (if not crossing) a very thin line on his radio host obligations and ethical boundaries…but I hear that kind of muddled approach isn’t new for him… and Papa Doug’s UT rejecting of pro-Jorgensen editorials…KFMB finally loosened the reigns and actually had Jorgensen, and Simon, on Mike Slater today…apparently filed FCC complaints have a tendency to do that!
Of course, Roger is ostensibly afraid to have Jorgensen on his “All-Carl-All-the-Time” coverage of the 52nd race…again, the optics/perception are horrible for DeMaio when measured with Jorgensen (which is no doubt why DeMaio’s campaign demands DeMaio is never in the same room as Jorgensen..speaking of cowardice…)..…responsible, balanced, and so informative is Hedgecock’s approach…such a paragon of impartial journalistic and political virtue in assisting the people of San Diego come to informed decisions…and of course, he loves the vets!…And what better way to show that than have a blackout on a veteran running for Congress in your district by denying him access to your show?
Oh, and Vito…better come clean on your Nom De Plume…Richard Rider hates that and will accuse you of cowardice…unless of course he knows you and, more importantly, you agree with him.
Hi Vito, I support all true conservatives, not just Kirk Jorgensen. And obviously my post was not promoting Kirk, as I didn’t realize he supports stripping firefighters of their pensions (IF he actually does, I haven’t spoken with Kirk lately). So, how can you title my post differently? But its ok, I know your real objective is to create sensationalism for your gay buddy Carl DeMaio, that’s what all liberals do, its kinda funny actually.

I have Mary. I spent at least 8 hours of personal meetings and phone calls with Kirk and his team. I vetted him hard. He supported Prop B, thinks marriage is an issue for the states to decide, thinks the 4th and 2nd Amendments needs to be protected, and that repealing Roe v. Wade is politically impractical at this time– Identical positions to Carl DeMaio.
Where they differ is in the nuanced answers they offered about Life and Marriage. Kirk says he is “pro-Life and pro-Family” on his website while Carl says he “supports a woman’s right to choose but thinks we need private solutions to reduce abortions” and that he “thinks the issue of marriage was settled by SCOTUS” on his.
I go beyond the websites when I interview candidates, though. I ask things like:
“what legislation will you sponsor to repeal Roe v Wade?” (both answered none).
“how would you vote on a federal constitutional Amendment defining marriage as one man and one woman” (both said against)
“what’s the number one risk to National Security?” (both said “the federal debt”)
Describe how you would use the Tenth Amendment to solve the problems of federal jurisdiction (both offered similar answers)
Will you be constrained by Article 1, Section 8 of the Constitution when looking for your authority to legislate (both said “no”)
“would you support the President’s desire to invade Syria?” (DeMaio said no and Kirk wrote this piece on FlashReport: )

I wish I spent more time interviewing Fred Simon but Kirk and Carl did a much better job trying to connect with me (in fairness, Simon just entered the race). Simon’s campaign has improved.
My decision to vote to endorse Carl did not come lightly. With respect to Kirk’s supporters here, I might ask you to ask him the hard questions I did before making statements which are inconsistent with the answers he offered me. It suggests that you don’t know your candidate’s positions or that he lied to me 7 months ago.
I sincerely doubt it’s the latter.

PS: Brian as a practicing Catholic you shouldn’t have endorsed Demaio, He is irreligious: fights against the sacred like life and marriage. These issues are foundational, and show an inner compass (or lack thereof). These issues are most important to God. If you’re going to be called a Catholic, your actions should reflect the Word and Teachings of our Lord. Maybe talk with your priest? thx.

Again, you really need to read what I write. DeMaio and Jorgensen will legislate the exact same way on Life and Marriage (unless Jorgensen lied to me. I don’t think he did).
Do you think Jorgensen lied to me, Mary or, like Prop B, are you unaware of how he answered questions about these issues?
Brian, I respect you very much. I disagree with you though. Demaio is morally bankrupt. He will further the LGBTQ agenda. He is not the same as Jorgensen. Carl is a practicing homosexual who calls himself catholic. (I pray he is not receiving the Eucharist). There is a huge moral difference between the two candidates, and you know it. The moral aspect is foundational: It’s their compass to the way in which they live their lives. I know im not telling you anything you don’t already know. Just be careful, your daughter is watching your every move. Don’t be a “do as I say but not as I do” dad. Tony should take heed also.

You’re right,. im not against carl because he is gay. as I mentioned earlier, my brother in law is gay, and I love him dearly.
im against carl because he will promote the LGBTQ agenda, which is devastating to life and traditional marriage. Im not judging him, that is for God to do, im simply conveying facts.
Also, I feel carl is shady in his backroom dealings with then Mayor Sanders for his support of Prop B if the police were exempted from pension reform. As you know, Sanders is the former Police Chief.
