Its easy to say he won’t pivot because Trump is Trump.
But it may also be his base. His rise to power is built on those in the GOP that felt the GOPe betrayed them. So if he tries to reach for the middle it is likely that his base will feel he’s selling out as well. It appears his primary strategy may have painted him into a box for the general.
