I often rail about the liberal media bias, but fair is fair — consider the FOX media bias. We have to rely on the acerbic wit of Jon Stewart to highlight media attempts to spin the Iowa straw poll outcome sans Ron Paul. Thankfully, Stewart IS quite entertaining to watch.

No, I’m not here touting Ron Paul as my preference, though in my ideal world where I get to simply pick the President, he would be.

The point is media bias — the inability of the smug MSM to attach legitimacy to the man who was pushing “Tea Party” ideas decades before the Tea Party came into being.

Naturally, readers will want to respond, touting their GOP presidential favorites (and pariahs) with all the reasons backing their positions. I say again — my concern here is the MEDIA BIAS and spin meistering.

  1. Point is Richard, the Fox propaganda machine has not changed one iota…..Fox presents what the Kochs and Murdocks want. No different than Soros…..But i am glad you too watch Brasscheck……

Oh also I by no means am debasing the comment on Ron Paul..

  2. Is this your way of protesting my gift? Tough luck, you’re still rolling with me to meet Herman Cain on your birthday next week.

I’m not a Ron Paulite fanatic, though I love the man. There are several tolerable to excellent GOP presidential candidates.

My purpose of posting this is to ridicule the MSM — and to share a superb, biting comedy segment by Jon Stewart.

Looking forward to meeting Herman Cain. I’m sure he feels the same about me.

  4. Jon Stewart was spot on, and I think they should be more inclusive. Governor Gary Johnson and Political Consultant Fred Karger who polled double that of Rick Santorum. Two percent to one percent respectively.

In a time when this country is looking for fresh new ideas and resolve to battle the great obstacles we face should we allow the unelected, wealthy Establishment media slim the pool of potential applicants. I think not. I think they do this country a great disservice.

William, you mention a sleeper candidate I really like — former NM Governor Gary Johnson. He has an incredibly solid record vetoing bad bills, and brooks no nonsense when it comes to limiting government in our lives. But the powers-that-be have blocked him from the presidential debates, even though he’s an ex-governor from a small state — kinda like Arkansas’ ex governor Bill Clinton — who somehow got much better treatment.
