I’m jes’ feelin’ a bit sorry for the former president

Regarding the fundraising plea below:

Ok, if it were my child, I’d also continue to help him, right up until the end.

Even if the end had passed long ago.

But, I’d also hope my kid would save us all the embarrassment. For the sake of the family, maybe.

With all due respect to the former president, 28 years was long ago. As well, it’s not like remembering the bygone days of Ronald Reagan. No, it’s … well, how can I nicely put it? … it’s Bush.

This isn’t to say that Donald Trump is the answer. But, very frankly, the reason for Trump’s months-long success is partly because Bush wasn’t — and isn’t — the answer.

It’s time to hang it up, Jeb.

There are just 2 days left until New Hampshire votes.

It does not seem possible, but it has been 28 years since our team came off a tough showing in Iowa and came back to win New Hampshire. The momentum it gave our team allowed us to break free to daylight, and go on to capture the nomination – and the presidency.

So I know how important New Hampshire is. And from Barbara’s visit there with Jeb, I know you do too. But, I also know Jeb’s team needs to raise $100,000 before Tuesday to have the resources they need.

This race is just getting started, and I know Jeb is best prepared to be Commander-in-Chief on Day One. As more and more voters make their final decisions, I am confident Jeb can and will win.
