This Saturday there is a big taxpayer rally scheduled in San Diego, down by the Star of India on the waterfront. Free parking across the street in the county administration building parking lot. High visibility event, and we want maximum turnout.

I’ll be one of the two keynote speakers. Details below from packaged news release.

Rain or shine we are ready to celebrate the one-year-anniversary of the nationwide Tea Party movement! Not only do we have great speakers lined up, this is a petition drive for several initiatives, and a fundraising opportunity for local Tea Party organizations.

So Cal Tax Revolt Coalition is proud to unveil our NEW 2010 T-SHIRT DESIGN…a burgundy and heather-gray raglan with a tea party design on the front, and Thomas Paine quote on the back. See the design here:
This is our means of fundraising, so please help us cover the cost of the event and upcoming expenses by donating $20 for one of these stylish and patriotic shirts (sizes S-XXXL…sorry, no credit cards, cash or check only). Other tea party groups will also have their shirts, bumper stickers, and hats there as well. So get ready to gear up for 2010!

during the hour leading up to the main event.

3) Tommy Chander, host of Chandler’s Watch and a champion of our men and women in uniform, will lead us in a prayer for our troops and touch on some of the work his group is doing on their behalf.

4) Local activist, musician and artist, Colleen Gray will lead us in the National Anthem.

5) Stephanie Jan will share details on the history and function of the
Independence Caucus and the critical work they are doing to vet and support
fiscally conservative candidates.

6) Greg Choate from the Part Time Legislature effort will provide details on
campaign and host a petition booth.

7) Brian Bloom, an advocate for California industries fighting crippling CARB regulations, will address the effort to repeal AB32, California’s Cap & Trade measure that is robbing this state of thousands of jobs every month.

8) Leslie Eastman and Charles Fettinger will give a current events “update”…and don’t be surprised if there is an Obama Girl sighting!

9) Richard Rider, long time San Diego taxpayer activist and founder of the San Diego Tax Fighters will discuss the Citizen Power Campaign in support of the petition drive we will hold at the tea party.

10) Dawn Wildman, President of the So Cal Tax Revolt Coalition, will give a short recap of how far we have come in just one year.

11) Roger Hedgecock, nationally syndicated talk show host and long time champion of the Tea Party, will give the keynote speech of the day and highlight California’s unique roll in the 2010 election. Many of you may not realize, but Roger gave Dawn her very first interview BEFORE the Feb. 2009 Tea Party.

INFO BOOTHS: Several San Diego County tea party groups, including the North County Conservatives, Stop Taxing Us, the Vista Tea Party Patriots, and the Rancho Bernardo Tea Party Patriots will host informational booths. We will also have information on the April 15th tea parties coming up, including San Diego, Carmel Mountain Ranch, El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona, Vista, Rancho Bernardo, Fallbrook, Rancho Santa Fe, Encinitas, El Centro, Temecula, & more! The Independence Caucus will host a booth promoting it’s grassroots efforts. And Tommy Chandler will host a booth educating folks on ways we can help our men and women in uniform.

PETITION DRIVES: Don’t forget! We will have three petitions available to qualify measures for the 2010 California election: The Citizen Power Campaign, the Part Time Legislation, and the Repeal of AB32 (California’s Cap & Trade).

See you on the 27th!!
