Former Mayor of Los Angeles and Secretary of Education Richard Riordan today released the following statement endorsing Nathan Fletcher for mayor:
I am endorsing Nathan Fletcher because I believe he is a forward-thinking candidate who will lead San Diego into a new era. He has proven he has the ability to bring broad coalitions together to drive real change and get things done.
His passion for innovation in all areas of government, education, and the economy is exactly what is needed now. Rather than rely on conventional wisdom or continuing the same old conversation, Nathan will bring a new generation of leadership to San Diego focused on developing real solutions.
