Journalists, political pundits and others from Rostra, CityBeat and OB Rag will post throughout the evening from multiple locations
SAN DIEGO: San Diego Rostra will participate in a live blog on Tuesday night with San Diego CityBeat and the OB Rag.
What is a live blog? Organizer Dave Maass of CityBeat says: “It’s essentially a beefed up online public chat room. It’s meant to be a fun, witty, intelligent post-game discussion of how the campaigns went. Throughout the night, we’ll be chatting, but we’ll also be posting photos and live election results. We’ll also try to track down some people wandering around Golden Hall to see if they want to sit down and be a guest for a little bit.”
Some of the bloggers will post from home, some from election parties and some from Golden Hall. The blog will stream live at sdrostra.com, sdcitybeat.com and obrag.org. The list of participants includes:
- SD CityBeat — Kelly Davis, David Rolland, Dave Maass, Jamie Pasternak
- OB Rag — Andy Cohen, Doug Porter, Frank Gormlie, Patty Jones, Annie Lane
- SD Rostra — Gayle Falkenthal, Erica Holloway, Ryan Purdy, Barry Jantz, Tony Manolatos
- Others — Seth Hall, Omar Passons, Ben Katz
Two related notes:
- Tony Manolatos will be on KOGO (AM 600 & FM 95.7) from 7PM to 8PM tonight — live from Golden Hall — with hosts Cliff Albert, LaDona Harvey and Sully. Manolatos writes a weekly post for Rostra called Politics & Media Mashup.
- Barry Jantz, a Rostra blogger and former La Mesa City Councilman, will be on KUSI with Ross Becker at 8:35PM – also live from Golden Hall.
Tonight’s live election blog is sponsored by the San Diego County Taxpayers Association.
