Destroying the Family Is Key to Hindering Black America

Since the dawn of time, the heart of life has been family. Any other support unit envisioned is clearly unimaginable, albeit being existent in great quantities. The entity of family teaches individuals the cores of life and the values necessary to be successful during our time on earth. Having a stable one, particularly, with competent parents has proven to be the most viable recipe for human success and achievement. With family, individuals grow up with guidance and the basic foundation implanted in their minds to be successful, productive, and most importantly, happy. Unfortunately, the presence of a strong family unit is virtually nonexistent in the black community. This is spelled out in broken families that constitute Black America today, where the lack thereof of a stable familial unit is ever-present and sadly permeating with broken homes, single mothers, and abusive relationships. With the entrenched pattern of having the family unit destroyed, the act of moving forward and forging an industrious society in Black America will be absent and ever-troubling. What are the people of America to do if a key demographic is continually diminished and denigrated for being “unfortunate” because of the color of their skin?

Now, progressives and liberals will paint us conservatives as “racist” and “insensitive” to the problems of Black America. “Racism,” as liberals like to paint it, still resonates and is continually vehement in practice. Yet, they are mistaken in the fact that they are the ones harboring these sentiments! Generally, most Americans do not purport the problem of racism, unless they are members of the Ku Klux Klan or any other racist group, in which the former was ironically started by proponents of the Democratic Party. Without this fostered racism, the Democratic Party will not have the platform of “working for the coveted interests for minorities in respect to African Americans” and will hopefully lose their minority base once people figure out this fad that they have fabricated. Maybe 2010 will be the year in which those espousing “a minority-enriched” background will rise up and ask the Democrats to stop hindering their progress in society? Yet, this desire probably will not be fulfilled since the Democrats and liberals already have it set in to create a dependent, welfare society in which the government is responsible for “looking after the interests of Americans.”

I think the notion of hope has been deleterious and exhausted by this Administration, so it is wise to rather confide in individuals vested in the cause to restore faith in Black America. One individual keen to rid the black community of this travesty, and finally solve the problem of “racism,” is Reverend Jesse Lee Peterson. Mr. Peterson is the President and creator of BOND, the Brotherhood Organization of a New Destiny, a nonprofit-nondenominational Christian organization dedicated to “Rebuilding the Family by Rebuilding the Man”. BOND is based in Los Angeles, CA, where Peterson carries out his mission to help “men overcome anger and learn to properly guide their families.”

I had the pleasure to hear this remarkable man speak at a 912 TEA party in San Juan Capistrano, eager to educate attendants about the woes of the failures of Black America. He recanted the importance of whites to not feel guilty about the failures of Black America, and that this inherent “hatred” for African-Americans is rooted in the Left Movement. He also retorted the fact that the root of the problem in Black America is created when the government supersedes and intervenes in the family of poor, impoverished blacks as they take out the men from the picture. By getting rid of a responsible, reliable father figure, the government can supersede him and foster a lifestyle for a broken family consisting of stagnation, promiscuity, irresponsibility, and dependency. When this is successfully achieved much to the dismay of many people, you have the resultant nature of a failed demographic in American society—that of Black America.

Jesse Lee Peterson is the perfect antidote to the deeply entrenched civil rights establishment of modern America. Like other prominent Black Conservatives, Peterson works tirelessly to get the conservative message out to those confounded by the fact that liberal society is strongly detrimental to Black America. With the immense work he has already taken under his wing since 1990, Peterson is one of the most successful and prominent black conservatives that impacts and contributes to the furthering of American society. Peterson’s mission statement can be best communicated by the following phrase, in which BOND helps “men and their families regain control and overcome life’s challenges…stressing the importance of self-reliance, honesty, and helping others through patience.”

Liberal progressives are eager to make everything an issue premised in the area of race. What happened to recognizing people on the basis of what traits and characteristics they boast rather than the color of their skin? The only way that this sentiment will not arise is if parents and strongly held families could teach their children to not look upon people solely on their skin, but rather beyond that and look at individuals on the basis of merit, mannerisms, behavior, and interests.  Jane Howard captures the notion that a family is best eluded in the following quote: “Call it a clan, call it a network, call it a tribe, call it a family.  Whatever you call it, whoever you are, you need one.”  The importance of family must be stressed and taken seriously for without it, expect failure and misery in the United States.
