CA income tax — who pays, and who doesn’t

RIDER COMMENT:  Here’s an EXCELLENT graphic summation of who pays income taxes in CA, and who does not (well, who pays very little taxes). It’s a worthwhile online visit.

Indeed, I think this illustration UNDERSTATES the under-$60K group, as many MAKE money on the CA income tax scheme via tax credits and exemption credits.
It certainly puts the lie to the implied assertion of Prop 30 — that the well-to-do in CA don’t pay enough taxes.
BTW, there is LOTS of great presentation material on CA and taxes at this website. This is a wonderful example of how to present material in graph form.  Here’s the “home page” for other great graphs.
The only problem with the graphs is that, in some cases, it’s a moving target.  For instance, contributions to support Prop 30.  Look for the latest version of the graph.  Even though a bit outdated, it clearly shows who is backing this measure.
Hint — it’s not “the children” backing Prop 30.  It’s not even the PARENTS of the children.  It’s — SURPRISE! — a bevy of special interests, predominantly the labor unions.
