Day one of the RNC set the tone for an exciting convention. Cruz supporters’ Hail Mary pass failed, due in large part to the stalwart stand of the California delegation. The SF Examiner called us the “back stop” for our role. To be honest, it was Kabuki Theater. Of course, reading the news reports about “chaos,” I wondered if we were in the same room. The facts are, it was never an issue.
Two interesting observations. First, while visiting relatives and friends in PA before driving over here I noticed, in a solidly blue collar area, Trump yard signs everywhere…and not a single Hillary one. There’s a grassroots rumble going on, and I believe it’s based on the economy.
Second, I’m not sure what you’re seeing on TV of the convention floor, but the CA delegation is not only solidly behind Trump, but we’re providing the leadership for the other states. Ironic.

Thanks for an interesting behind the scenes look at the convention. I, and many others have been fighting against a cynical “Trump is the same as Hillary” fight. Cruz lost. Deal with it. Support Trump or you will elect Killary.
Hillary as Secretary of State has totally failed to protect Americans. She abandoned Ambassador Stevens in Benghazi and got him and the SEALs killed, and is directly responsible for the growth of ISIS by killing Ghadaffi in Libya, and causing civil war in Syria by trying to oust Assad. She is incompetent and an extreme leftist.
The worst you can say about Trump is that he failed at Trump University and several other ventures. Will he keep all his promises? No, of course not. But I’m willing to take a chance on an outsider like Trump than a proven extreme leftist like Hillary who is incompetent and doesn’t care about American lives.
Trump claims he will destroy ISIS in short order. May I humbly suggest that to start this endeavor that it would be wise to determine their sources of capital and who is selling them arms.
Dan: Perhaps Bush killing Sadam might have also been a factor. If Clinton is “an extreme leftist” please give an example of a moderate one. Perhaps Reagan.

Hillary will be the 3rd term of Obama. Nobody wants that. The American public knows that she belongs in prison. But there’s one set of rules for the elite establishment like the Clintons and one for the rest of us. That’s why her support is fading. I bet that infuriates you. Trump is an outsider who represents what people want, a strong military, a strong, respected police force, a stop temporarily to Muslim immigration, and no more illegal immigration. Hillary failed her job probation as Secretary of State. Benghazi, putting secrets at risk on her illegal email servers, plunging Syria into civil war and strengthening ISIS, destroying the lives of women who called out Bill Clinton. Yes. Trump for President.
“Trump is an outsider”. Man, now that’s rich. He’s played the game as good as anybody. He understands and has freely admitted that you get what you want from govt. as long as you pay for it.
Paul: Happy to enlighten you about Hillary Clinton, the extreme leftist Democrat nominee for President. Hillary’s senior thesis at Wellesley was a 92 page love fest for extreme communist organizer Saul Alinsky. It was so controversial in the first Clinton WH that she and Wellesley prevented any further access to the thesis.
Hillary, in the summer of 1971, interned at the extreme leftist law firm in Berkeley of Treuett, Walker & Burnstein, whose client list prominently featured radical groups like the Black Panthers.
Sounds extreme leftist to me. The Democrat Party of moderates like John F. Kennedy is dead. It’s a hard-core leftist Democrat Party now. I’ll make room for you on the Trump bandwagon.
Dan, There is not a shred of evidence that Alinsky was a communist unless you think helping poor and racially marginalized people a communist act. He refused to align with any particular ideology because he felt they were all too rigid.
Paul: LOL. Alinsky dedicated his book “Rules for Radicals” to Lucifer. He’s as moderate as Stalin and Lenin.
Still think Hillary is not an extreme leftist? Trump had several Black law enforcement people speak at the Convention. Hillary is having the mother of Michael Brown, the criminal and thug, speak at her convention. Note: Michael’s Brown mother robbed and beat her mother-in-law recently. Hillary is showing her true thug colors.
