   I read the article, SDSU says its a fire hazard issue. So unless the students have proof that other things hang from the balcony then I don’t think they have much of a case.

   So I’ve read the article, looked at some pictures and read the actual policies that SDSU has with respect to the balconies. While I don’t buy the school’s argument that it is a safety issue, the rules are pretty clear about not hanging anything from the balconies.

   I agree with what Mr. Schroeder said. Unless there is evidence that the school has allowed other banners to hang from balconies or failed to uniformly enforce the rules, i don’t see how they have much of a leg to stand on.
