(El Cajon) Today the Bill Wells for assembly Campaign announces another major endorsement. The National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) is supporting Wells in his campaign for State Assembly due to his leadership in the San Diego Region.

In a NECA press release, Association leadership elaborated on their endorsement: “Bill has been an outspoken champion for San Diego. As a respected community leader, he understands the issues that affect our contractors who continue to face an up-hill battle as the recession weighs heavy on our industry. With the ongoing challenges faced by small business in San Diego and throughout the region, Bill will demand accountability of State Government.”

I response to the endorsement, El Cajon Mayor Pro Tem Bill Wells noted the need for reform in Sacramento: “I am happy to have the support of NECA. This organization knows firsthand the complexities of doing business in this difficult economic and regulatory climate. I plan to take to Sacramento the concerns of the small business owners that comprise the membership of this great association.”

Bill Wells is running for the 77th Assembly District to succeed Joel Anderson in the East County Assembly seat. The NECA endorsement adds to a long list of supporters, including the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association, the California Republican Assembly, the California Medical Association and former 77th Assemblyman Steve Baldwin, among many others.
