The Left Redefining Thanksgiving, “Are You Kidding Me?”
SACRAMENTO, CA – This week, Assemblyman Jones (R-Santee) wishes you a “Happy Thanksgiving,” and asks everyone to give thanks, and to remember the first thanksgiving in 1621 celebrated by both Native Americans and the settlers in gratitude for a successful harvest. In his Thanksgiving Proclamation, George Washington said, “to render our National Government a blessing to all the people by constantly being a Government of wise, just, and constitutional laws.” Assemblyman Jones says, “America was founded upon these beliefs, and each year we remember that during the Thanksgiving holiday. This Thanksgiving I urge you and your family to give thanks and to remember the rich history which got us to this place.”
