That’s not a misprint, Sports Fans, GOP
challenger Ernie Dronenburg raised
$20,524 from October
1 to 16th, compared to $405 for the
incumbent Democrat, David Butler.

That is a 50-to-1 ratio, as revealed in
new finance reports filed today at the SD Registrar of
Voters for SD Assessor/ Recorder/ Clerk.

The totals for the full year are $171,481 for Dronenburg, compared to $43,565 for Mr. Butler… still a devastating 4-to-1 ratio.

Dronenburg has a perfect 7-0 record in past campaigns (5 for Board of
Equalization, 2 for County Board of Education). And as Rostra’s Erica
Holloway
points out, he also has the “Bowtie” look going for him.

SD Rostra broke the story of Dronenburg’s candidacy in December of
2009,
and we are first again with the campaign finance update.
