The California Republican Party, following the lead of the San Diego GOP, is launching a direct mail effort to aid Carl DeMaio’s race for Mayor. The sample you see above is expected to hit mail boxes this week. The timing is major since the SD Registrar of Voters soon begins its vote-by-mail program as dictated by State law. Based on past primary elections, your correspondent anticipates well over 50 percent of the votes will be cast by mail. As the saying goes among political pros, once that starts, “Every Day is Election Day.”
The premise of this brochure is that rank-and-file Republican voters will give special credibility to a message from the official State Party.
