Tuesday night, Donald Trump was interviewed by Sean Hannity of Fox News. Trump informed Hannity that if the Republicans do not nominate a strong enough candidate, he himself will run as an Independent since “Obama must be stopped.”
Last week, on The O’Reilly Factor, Trump said something similar but at that time he only claimed he “might” run. Even Trump’s “maybe” concerned me very much, partly because it could repeat the Ross Perot fiasco which ended up putting Bill Clinton in office, and partly because many conservatives seem unaware that even though Trump often talks like a conservative, he is actually a loose cannon who could say anything at any time. Unfortunately, such tidings of bad cheer were lost between Weiner Gate and the lead up to the GOP debate. I did, however, write a column last Saturday about how Trump’s ego could end up being a very serious threat to a pleasant 2012 outcome. I invite you to read this piece on Washington Times Communities, entitled:
Future headline: Donald Trump hands election to Barack Obama

While listening to your VERY fine radio show, heard each Sunday afternoon on KCBQ, I heard you mention your program will be shifting to another time on Sunday. Can you fill all of us in on the schedule change, and when it wil take effect?
Rostrafarians who have not heard Bob’s show are missing out…it is one of a kind, and will make you think about subjects you have long forgotten and want to consider again.

Around here, we use standard grammar and English usage, with upper and lower case where appropriate, while including periods and commas. We even try to use correct spelling. Just a thought. Another thought, if you want readers here to get past the hushed tones and dark alleys style of your writing, it would help to pick another handle. Since you have three times linked your john birch name to a non-existent Facebook account, not even with a complete url, we are on the cusp of deeming you auto-spam.
Thank you.

To Jim Sills:
Thank you for the kind and encouraging words about my radio show. Beginning on July 3, The Bob Siegel Show will be heard on Sundays from 6:00-7:00 P.M. KCBQ 1170 on the dial or KCBQ.com to listen to live stream over the internet. Shows can also be listened to at your convenience by going to my website: http://www.bobsiegel.net. Here you have the choice of listening to a stream or subscribing to our pod cast. When I say “subscribe” that does not mean there is a charge. It merely means you sign up for the podcast.
For the rest of June my show remains at 3:00 P.M. on Sundays. Finally, our Saturday night 11:00-12:00 rebroadcast will remain the same.

It’s true that incumbents do not tend to win reelections under a horrible economy. It’s also true that first time candidates tend not to win elections if they have self professed terrorist friends, racist pastors, voting records that support infanticide (not abortion, infanticide) and another list of problems, any one of which would have sunk the candidacy of another. But Obama got elected anyway, which shows me our country at the moment is just that stupid. And we were a cyber savvy society in 2008 as well. Obama still won.
With all my heart, I hope my fears are misplaced.
At this point, I’m seeing Obama winning reelection, no matter HOW bad the economy gets. He will win because of voter guilt — especially white voters.
After all, what would the world think of the U.S. if we voted out an incumbent black President? If that happened, it would be proof to all that the KKK has again risen to, ahem, supremacy in America.

That is exactly it for many Americans. They fear being lectured to by the likes of Europe. How many African-American Prime Ministers has England had? Or Sweden?
Wouldn’t it be great if Cain got the nomination? I do not believe that will happen, but it could potentially remove from the table all this nonsense which implies racism if we don’t wish to put a socialistic, foreign policy inept man back into office.
Oh wait! I forgot. If Cain gets the nomination, they’ll just call him an “Uncle Tom” and insist he is not a true black candidate.
