Gary Kreep, a Ronald Reagan delegate at the 1976 and 1980 Republican conventions, today filed papers to run for Superior Court.  Kreep heads the United States Justice Foundation in North County, a conservative law agency that specializes in Constitutional Law and protection of family rights.  This assures voters will have options in Office 24 (Terrie Roberts vs. David Berry), Office 25 (James Miller, Jr. vs. Robert Amador vs. George Schaefer) and Office 34 (Gary Kreep v. Garland Peed).

In an exclusive statement to SD Rostra, Gary Kreep reviewed his reasons for seeking the Superior Court spot:  “I’m running because voters deserve a choice for an open seat on the Superior Court bench.  Mr. Peed is a qualified, veteran attorney and so am I.  Over the next few months voters can compare our qualifications and philosophies and make well-informed choices. That will be good for democracy and good for the Superior Court.”

Kreep and USJF have put a special emphasis on defending the rights of  Home Schooling parents and children, winning many legal victories to protect that burgeoning social reform movement.

Gary Kreep is a Law School graduate of the University of San Diego (1975) and received his B.S. degree in Economics at the University of California at San Diego.  He passed the notoriously difficult California Bar Exam on his first try,  practicing law locally since 1975.

Filing for the three judicial positions was extended five days until Feb. 13 because the incumbents did not seek new six-year terms.  Voting is county-wide, with Election Day set for June 5, 2012.
