Can you join us this Friday morning for our second “Jobs Summit?”  (see below)

We are tackling the important issue of workforce development, job training, and youth mentorship to prepare San Diegans to compete in a 21st century economy.  We will also discuss ways to cut red tape, get government out of the way of small businesses, and encourage innovation.

All of the ideas we are collecting are being vetted and added to my “Pathway to Prosperity” Jobs Plan — so don’t be shy!!

PS: The trip to Texas last week (on my own dime remember!) produced a ton of great ideas that my staff and I are going compile and send to you.  Quite an eye-opener, but I’m excited because I know we can catch up and surpass them with the right leadership!

Have ideas on how to foster job creation in San Diego?

A cross section of San Diego’s business leaders will participate in two “Job Creation Summits” with Councilmember Carl DeMaio to discuss a laundry list of challenges faced in our local economy – and outline ways city government can reform its processes, regulations and programs to help spur job creation and retention.
