Did you know there’s a special election THIS COMING TUESDAY, March 26!?

Yup, it’s the race to replace San Diego, District 4 Councilman Tony Young who resigned earlier to become CEO of the local Red Cross chapter. This is an opportunity since…

Please join fellow Republicans as we expand our reach and contest this race. Will you give a few hours of your time on Saturday or Sunday this weekend? Here’s the info:

  1. Sandy is smart, kind, hardworking and caring. She could really shake things up with a win in District 4. I hope the GOTV on the GOP side works and she comes through Tuesday as the dark horse to beat. Go Sandy!

  2. “Who?”

You obviously haven’t been to Paradise Hills, Hypocrisy. I saw more Spackman signs than all other candidates combined there. Every time I knocked on a door today, people responded “Oh, she was just here last week”. Sandy is going to make this runoff the old-fashioned way; wearing out shoes by campaigning door-to-door.

  3. Brian,

Sandy Spackman is probably everything gopmotherofthree says she is. What she is not going to be is the District Four City Council Member. She will not even finish in the top three.

  4. “a Laotian immigrant who became a Republican after she got her first paycheck!”

After seeing how much the government takes from his paycheck. One of my my Hispanic employees gave me a slight nod of approval when I told him “now you see why I vote Republican.”

Many Latinos and south east Asians have large families to support. They need every penny they can get.

  5. “This just in:

Yep. My enthusiasm sometimes outweighs my perspective. I learned a few things from that race:

1- it was over before Tuesday–71% of the votes were cast by mail-in ballot.
2- GOTV seems antiquated. If you can’t raise money, you can’t buy mailers. It probably would have cost $30-40K for a Republican to make the run off.
3- You gotta start sometime in districts you ignore. I”m glad we made an effort there

  6. Brian,

A Republican was not going to make the runoff in that district regardless of resources. That being said, you are correct that it is important for all parties to compete everywhere to make sure their message is getting out. Demographics are constantly changing and no area should be taken for granted or given up on.

  7. This is the problem with gerrymandering and early voting. If the problems of our city, county, state and country were being solved, then keep doing the gerrymandering. We have been sold a bill of goods by the career politicians and operatives and our status as a pinnacle nations is in serious jeopardy. There are too many low information voters who are led like sheep.into a uninformed decision. We as Republicans need genuine outreach, education and unification. The status quo is not working and statewide R registration is below 30% for the first time.
