The latest salvo in the Proposition D campaign involves a mobile billboard, a four-star Marine Corps general, a librarian, and outrage about public pensions. The No on D campaign debuted its latest weapon by parking it right in front of the Jasmine Seafood Restaurant on Convoy Street as people arrived for the Asian Business Association Rice Club debate on Prop D. It’s sort of subtle but the campaign thinks it gets the message across:
You’ll be seeing this around San Diego in the days leading up to the election. Check in if you see it, and let Rostra know what kind of reaction it’s getting. We’ve already gotten a report that two couples were overheard in a Rubio’s restaurant commenting that something “isn’t right” when a librarian is getting this kind of pension money. We couldn’t agree more!
