There is a group called ETA that is spreading political fliers around Encinitas. They are very clear about which City Council Candidates they support and which they oppose.
This is what Wikipedia says about ETA — could the Basque Homeland wars have come to Encinitas California?…
ETA or Euskadi Ta Askatasuna, (English: Basque Homeland and Freedom; pronounced [ˈɛːta]), is an armed Basque nationalist and separatist organisation. The group was founded in 1959 and has since evolved from a group promoting traditional Basque culture to a paramilitary group with the goal of gaining independence for the Greater Basque Country from a Marxist-Leninist perspective.[4][5]
ETA’s motto is Bietan jarrai (“Keep up on both”), referring to the two figures in its symbol, a snake (representing politics) wrapped around an axe (representing armed struggle).[6][7][8]
Since 1968, ETA has killed over 800 individuals, injured thousands and undertaken dozens of kidnappings.[9][10][11] The group is proscribed as a terrorist organization by the Spanish and French[12] authorities, as well as the European Union as a whole,[13] and the United States.[14] This convention is followed by a plurality of domestic and international media, which also refer to the group as “terrorists”.[15][16][17][18] More than 700 members of the organization are incarcerated in prisons in Spain, France, and other countries.[19]

I’m going to assume ETA stands for something else in this circumstance. Next thing you know the armed wing of Shin Fein will be running candidates for County Supervisor.
I thought the Labor Council already does have candidates running for County Supervisor.
Encinitas Taxpayer’s Association. use google.
Is this a serious post? Sounds like more silliness from the children who run encinitas politics
if it is a joke, then i am impressed with the level of dedication to the humor, considering all the cited sources.
if not, well…
We do have a tendency to be somewhat flippant and irreverent around here. The post is by the Smiling Spotlight. That should be your first clue as the seriousness.
As a dear departed friend liked to say: Joke ’em if they can’t take a F*#K.
