Teachers Union Caught Cheating In Its Support For David Alvarez

Alvarez cheating
Spotted about Noon today, on the Jimmy Durante Blvd fence and the Via de la Valle fence of the San Diego County Fairgrounds.

The American Federation of Teachers Guild Local 1931 funded and hung two huge “Alvarez for Mayor” signs along the property owned by the taxpayers of California, in the far northwestern part of San Diego today.  That property is managed by the 22nd Agricultural District.

One call to “Linda” at the 22nd Agricultural District righted this wrong.  She had security/maintenance remove the sign within an hour.

If this doesn’t prove that outside union influences are trying to buy this mayoral election, I don’t know what does.  This kind of behavior makes local educators look bad.  When an illegally hung sign says “Teachers for Alvarez,” it sends a message to kids that teachers won’t play by the rules if they think the “ends justify the means.”

Call your kids’ teachers and let them know that their union is making it harder for parents to trust them.  I have a lot of respect for public school teachers but this makes the classroom teachers look bad.  They should know what sort of nonsense their union is doing on their behalf.

  1. Brian,

Seriously? Do you know how many signs are posted on public property? I am not going to justify violating the rules (or driving faster than 65 MPH on the freeway), but with all the other dirty tricks and serious campaign violations (taking money from foreign nationals for example), is this really what gets you upset?

  2. The one at Torrey Pines State Park actually did irritate me. It is parkland. They really shouldn’t have a sign.
