Press Release from Team Bilbray…

(San Diego) – Today, Greg Stein, the Chairman of the Board of the San Diego County Taxpayers Association (SDCTA) and the National Tax Limitation Committee PAC (NTLC-PAC) endorsed Congressman Brian Bilbray for his efforts to reduce taxes and limit the size and scope of our government. Greg Stein gave his personal endorsement, as the association does not endorse in candidate races.

“I am honored to be here today to highlight Congressman Brian Bilbray’s commitment to the taxpayer and his leadership over many years to foster pro-growth economic policies.  He has my full and unequivocal endorsement.” said Greg Stein, “Let’s not forget that Congressman Bilbray was elected to undo the largest tax increase in history – which he did in spades.  While Congressman Bilbray was cutting taxes, reforming welfare, and saving Medicare, Scott Peters was busy voting to undermine the retirement security of tens of thousands of San Diegans and setting a course for ‘Enron by the Sea.’ The taxpayers’ choice in this race is clear and obvious – it is Brian Bilbray.”

“I am proud to endorse Congressman Brian Bilbray for his efforts to reign in higher taxes and to reduce our national debt,” said NTLC-PAC Founder and President Lew Uhler. “In order to get our economy moving again, Congressman Bilbray knows the path forward to create jobs in San Diego.  And his fiscal-issue voting record in the 112th Congress earned Congressman Bilbray an ‘A’ grade on our coveted ‘Tax Fighter Award’.  In stark contrast, Bilbray’s challenger, Scott Peters, played a key role in San Diego’s pension scandal that left hardworking taxpayers on the hook for a $1.4 billion deficit.”

In addition to these key endorsements, a number of other Taxpayer Advocates were on hand to support Congressman Bilbray as well:  Scott Crosby, Brad Barnum, April Boling, Marjorie McLaughlin, Jordan Marks, Nancy Chase, Mike Christensen, Adam Day, Dave Carlin, TJ Zane, and others representing themselves and the companies and industries that they represent.

The National Tax Limitation Committee (NTLC) was organized in 1975. Its mission has been:  To provide national leadership to achieve the optimal size and functions of government and promote candidates and initiatives that support these goals.
